Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the process that is used to identify the skills and knowledge you have acquired through personal and work experience - the "University of Life". The evidence you provide is matched to a complete qualification where possible or alternatively, to part of a qualification. A successful RPL application means that you could receive certification without further study or you may be able to accelerate through a qualification.
A good place to start is a quick Self-evaluation Tool that you can find on the Department of Education, Small Business and Training website. This tool will help you identify suitable qualifications and give you an idea of what evidence you might need to provide.
