Overview

Our SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality addresses functional hospitality skills, you can customise this course to suit specific roles and sectors in the industry through your choice of electives.  Our specialisation streams include electives that give students the skills that are in demand by the hospitality industry in restaurants, cafes and bars.

SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality is ideal for trainees (including school-based), school leavers, or people wanting to develop the skills for employment during other studies or travel.  Many people who dedicate themselves to a hospitality career also hold this qualification.

This qualification is a perfect choice for students aiming to expand their knowledge and skills after completing Certificate II in Hospitality.

Depending on the specialisation stream or electives chosen, when you finish this course you'll be able to:

  1. Live Class 
    i) Establish a school partnership with the support of a trainer who will offer guidance and assistance throughout the activities. Feel free to contact us to obtain a customised partnership agreement that aligns with your student’s needs.

  2. Blended Learning 
    This is a flexible and efficient way to complete your qualification.  It may include live classes, online study, self-paced activities and webinars.
  3. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
    Recognition of Prior Learning is the process that is used to recognise the skills and knowledge you have acquired through personal and work experience - the "University of Life". The evidence you provide is matched to a complete qualification where possible or alternatively, to part of a qualification. A successful RPL application means that you could receive certification without further study or may be able to fast track through a qualification. Please contact us to organise an individual assessment of your current knowledge and skills.
  4. Traineeship
    Traineeships are a combination of “earning and learning” and can be offered to new and existing staff in a part or full time capacity.  Trainees are employed whilst completing their qualification under the supervision of experienced Blueprint trainers and assessors.  Contact us for more information.

SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes, and coffee shops and allows for multiskilling and specialisation in cafes and bars. Possible job titles include:

  • Barista
  • Food and beverage attendant
  • Function attendant or host
  • Restaurant host
  • Bar attendant

Must be able to access a suitable commercial hospitality environment for 36 vocational placement shifts.

You have 12 months from course commencement to complete this qualification.  This qualification is allocated 2 years for completion if undertaken as a full time traineeship.

To complete this qualification you must demonstrate competency in a total of 15 units. Seven of these units are core and there are 8 electives.  The table below shows the content of our standard specialisation streams, however other electives are available.

If you successfully complete SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality qualification you could continue your studies in higher level hospitality qualifications within the VET or university sectors.
